When Girish jokingly mentioned to friend and Entrepreneur Abishek that he had actually lost 80kgs due to a strict Cheese diet- they got an idea. The Tech Savvy Abishek and the innovative Girish came up with Fromage, Chennai’s first cheese themed restaurant in Somerset hotel, MRC nagar. Fromage simply translates to Cheese in French and the restaurant celebrates just that.

While Chennai has a bunch of upcoming party joints, there are only a few places that allows one to enjoy a quiet drink along with some comfort food. Girish and Abishek conceptualized the Fromage at MRC Nagar as a space where one could relax with a pint of beer in one hand and pork ribs on the other. This inspiration and their love for cheese is also reflected in the yellow upholstery, blue walls and all their cheesy affairs.

The second outlet at Egmore has the ambience of a casual diner with instgrammable walls and bookshelves. The restaurant also has an indoor and outdoor event space. The garden space is perfect for one to relax with a cup of tea and a good read.
